Children and young people are all unique and will have different challenges to face in returning to school and re-engaging with their learning. This area of the website provides guidance and information on supporting different groups of learners. The guidance includes information on helping children back to school as well as supporting them with catching up with their learning. It would be impossible to list all the support for every individual need, so we have focused on 4 major, key areas.

• The SEND area provides guidance on supporting pupils with specific needs in mainstream – this includes speech and language, children with sensory needs as well as specific conditions.
• The autism section provides links to autism friendly resources, guidance and support organisations.
• The vulnerable learner section includes information on support for EAL and GRT.
• Transitions provides links to resources designed to facilitate smooth transitions between year groups and schools.
