Home Learning
Welcome to our online resource to support home learning, which we have retained despite Covid-19 restrictions being lifted. The site has been developed to support parents and carers to help their children when normal school attendance may be disrupted and they are learning at home.
There is a requirement for schools to provide remote education for pupils who are working at home and our resource aims to complement this. It brings together a range of free, accessible online activities and learning to support parents of children of all ages, with items clearly grouped into subjects and topics.
Our SENsational resources section is specifically aimed at parents who are supporting a child with Special Educational Needs at home. The skill builder section provides parents with resources to help them to support their child with learning, for example, helping struggling readers. There are also activities to help to keep children calm and happy, which are useful to weave into a child’s day, as a break from an activity if they are becoming anxious.
It is important for children whilst working at home to experience a range of different activities during the day, to help keep their interest, as well as support different aspects of their learning and development. Try to develop a routine for learning with your child while working at home. We have included some timetables options below:
