South Gloucestershire Music

South Gloucestershire Music provides a wealth of inspirational music-making opportunities to children and young people across the region, and we work with schools to support music in the curriculum through specialist advice and training packages.

We also work in partnership with leading professional music organisations and associates to provide schools and young musicians with a progression pathway in music. This starts with whole class instrumental lessons, leading on to individual and small group lessons. Young musicians are then encouraged to join one of the development music centres and eventually the senior music centre to play and socialise with other young musicians.

Our range of services includes delivery of lessons in schools, targeted curriculum support and advice, continuing professional development courses, as well as conferences and briefings for governing boards on the role and potential of music in school.

We also provide out of school young musician activities in our two development centres at Warmley and Little Stoke on a Saturday morning and our senior music centre at Little Stoke primary School on a Monday evening. Ensembles offered include wind, jazz, string and full orchestras, guitar and ukulele groups.
