Swimming Administration (including transport)

We use the following Circadian Trust Active Leisure Centre Pools:

Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre

Kingswood Leisure Centre

Longwell Green Leisure Centre

Thornbury Leisure Centre

Yate Leisure Centre

We provide a timetable for the full academic year (39 weeks). This includes conventional sessions that can be booked each week on a set day and time and block weeks that can be booked for five days a week.

Pool charges are for a 30 minute session inclusive of one instructor for the half-hour session.

Additional instructors can be requested at an additional charge.

• We have a dedicated swimming coordinator who manages an authority-wide service. We liaise with pool staff and transport on a daily basis to deal with your queries.
• We have a proven track record and have been managing this service for schools for 15 years.
• We use our local knowledge of pools and transport services to provide you with competitive prices through a tendering process.
• We use our relationships with pool managers to ensure you have qualified swimming instructors.
• We establish a best-fit timetable in consultation with your school.
• We take account of any special transport needs or medical conditions of pupils in your school.

A subscription to this service will help you to  give  your Key Stage two pupils:

• the opportunity to reach their National Curriculum target of swimming at least 25 metres unaided
• improved coordination and general health through increased strength, stamina, balance and posture
• increased water confidence and the ability to stay safe in water
• the opportunity to take part in a sport which is recognised as one of the most cost effective ways of engaging a large group in sport.

Our training will ensure that your staff develop their ability to deliver swimming effectively or to support the swimming instructor.
